National Consortium for Improving the Quality of VET in the Fields of Business Administration, Economics, and Trade

HORIZON

Horizon ProConsult EOOD is the coordinator of the first national consortium of its kind in the field of vocational education and training (VET) in Bulgaria, established with approved accreditation under the Erasmus+ program. The consortium brings together leading business high schools in the country and aims to promote the sustainable development  of internships, international cooperation, and the exchange of good practices in VET.

Together with the Trade High School of Stara Zagora, the National Trade High School of Plovdiv, and the National Trade and Banking High School of Sofia, we will work on the implementation of strategic goals and sustainable development in the sector.

Main objectives and strategic framework

Organization of international student internships

Providing real-life experience in foreign companies in the fields of economics, administration, and marketing, to apply knowledge, develop language and professional skills, and improve employability.

Establishing teaching practices

Improving the professional qualifications of school staff through the exchange of effective teaching methods and practices.

Introduction of dual forms of training

Supporting high schools in researching, adapting, and implementing the "training through work" model in economics majors.

Increasing the capacity of participating schools for international activities

Developing skills for participation in the Erasmus+ program, working on projects, and building sustainable partnerships abroad.

Establishing a link between education and business

Encouraging cooperation with employers in order to prepare staff better to meet market needs.

Key activities and initiatives

Conducting international mobility programs for students (internships, apprenticeships, and training) and teachers (training, exchange of experience, working visits, and observations).

Building a network of host companies, including foreign employers.

Creating training outlines and mentoring programs.

Organising working visits and studies of good practices for dual education in Europe.

Conducting public events and initiatives to raise awareness and promote the results.
