We are thrilled to share that, as we approach the conclusion of the DIY Future project, we successfully hosted two engaging workshops focused on creating ceramic vessels. These events brought together young people from diverse backgrounds, all united by their passion for sustainable living and their enthusiasm to explore the captivating art of ceramics, one of the timeless fire arts.
During the first workshop, participants were introduced to the goals of the DIY Future project, funded by Erasmus+, which empowers young people with DIY skills to extend the lifespan of products and encourage sustainable consumption. The practical session involved crafting clay pots, and despite having no prior experience, the participants displayed remarkable creativity and adaptability throughout the process.
In the second workshop, the same participants reconvened to personalize and finish their now-fired ceramic pieces, giving each creation a unique touch that reflected their individual styles and preferences.
In addition to these hands-on events, the project recently facilitated a successful mobility program in Maribor, Slovenia, where five participants from Bulgaria gained valuable insights and experiences. Looking ahead, the next training course is scheduled to take place from 13–17 January 2025 in Cori, Italy.
For those interested in enhancing their entrepreneurial and practical DIY skills, we invite you to explore the wealth of training materials now available on the project website: https://diyfuture.eu/project-results/.
