From April 5, 2026, to April 11, 2026, seven teachers and school staff members from the “N. Y. Vaptsarov” Vocational High School of Mechanical Engineering and Transportation in Stara Zagora took part in an educational mobility program under the “Erasmus+” program in Zaragoza, Spain. The training was carried out jointly with the partner organization MUNDUS as part of Project No. 2025-1-BG01-KA121-VET-000312652.
The mobility program provided participants with the opportunity to learn about best practices in vocational education and innovative teaching methods used in the Spanish education system. During the training, modern pedagogical approaches were presented, including project-based learning, as well as successful models for increasing student motivation and engagement.
A significant part of the program consisted of visits to a vocational school with a similar focus and to companies in the automotive and industrial sectors. These visits provided Bulgarian teachers with the opportunity to exchange experiences with their Spanish colleagues, learn about the organization of practical training in a real work environment, and observe the successful collaboration between education and business.
During meetings with the MUNDUS team and local education experts, participants discussed opportunities for developing future international partnerships, as well as best practices for implementing mobility projects under the “Erasmus+” program. The final discussion and the certification ceremony marked a successful conclusion to the training.
The mobility program in Zaragoza once again demonstrated that the “Erasmus+” program is much more than an opportunity for international training – it is an investment in teacher development, the quality of education, and the future of students. The new knowledge, professional contacts, and exchange of best practices will be successfully applied in the teaching process, contributing to a more modern, innovative, and effective vocational education.
