From June 21, 2026, to July 13, 2026, the second group of students from the Vocational High School of Technology and Light Industry in Popovo participated in an international mobility program under the “Erasmus+” program, implemented as part of Project No. 2025-1-BG01 -KA121-VET-000312696 in connection with Erasmus accreditation No. 2022-1-BG01-KA120-VET-000107341. Fifteen students studying to become “Applied Programmers” and “Graphic Designers” took part in the mobility program, completing their work-based training in Reggio Emilia, Italy, with the support of the partner organization IFOM.
During their three-week stay, the students worked in a real-world work environment, where they had the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills they had acquired in school. They actively participated in the activities of the host organizations, familiarized themselves with modern technologies, professional standards, and work organization in Italian companies. Thanks to daily practical tasks, the participants enhanced their professional competencies, developed teamwork skills, and gained greater confidence in their own abilities.
In addition to the professional internship, the mobility program gave the students the opportunity to explore Italy’s rich cultural heritage. During their stay, they visited Modena, Venice, and Florence, where they experienced iconic historical landmarks, impressive architecture, and the unique atmosphere of Italian cities. The boat tour in Venice, the visit to St. Mark’s Square, the picturesque streets, and the encounter with Florence’s cultural treasures left a lasting impression and created unforgettable memories.
Over the course of three weeks, the participants forged new friendships, honed their language and communication skills, and learned to adapt to a new cultural and professional environment. The international experience they gained will be a valuable resource for their future education and professional development.
The successful completion of the second group’s mobility program is further proof of the opportunities that the “Erasmus+” program offers young people – to develop their knowledge and skills, gain practical experience in a European setting, and establish themselves as confident and competitive future professionals.
